A new beginning

Hi there, and welcome to our very first dev blog!

My name is Matt, and I’m leading the design of the next iteration of Fate of the World… of all the games I’ve ever worked on, it’s the one I’m proudest of, and it’s very exciting to be involved with it again.

Soothsayer acquired the rights to Fate earlier this year, and since then we’ve pulled together a core design team to work on materials such as this website, an upcoming video, and mock-ups of the new game interfaces. We couldn’t have got here without them, so many thanks to Sian and Clive for all their efforts.

I’ll be updating this dev blog regularly, keeping you apprised of the progress we make. Right now, this website doesn’t support comments, but we’ll be regularly visiting the Steam forums for the original game, where we’ll be having discussions about the strengths and flaws of the old product, and the direction we’ll be heading in future.
